Dr. Mary Saad completed her Bachelor Degree of Medicine and Surgery (MB BCh) at the Faculty of Medicine, Egypt, 2001. Dr. Mary had Master Degree (MSc) in Ophthalmology from Egypt, 2007. She had three Years Ophthalmological residency at University Hospitals in Egypt, where she worked with many Ophthalmologists specializing in corneal, retinal diseases, cataracts and glaucoma. There she also had an opportunity to do many eye surgeries.
Dr. Mary had six years of Ophthalmological experience in Egypt. Dr. Mary moved to Canada in 2010 to join the School Of Optometry, University Of Waterloo. Dr. Mary completed Canadian Board Examinations and she is certified in the use of therapeutic pharmaceuticals for the diagnosis and treatment of eye diseases. She obtained her Doctor of Optometry Degree (OD) from the University Of Waterloo in 2013. She is a licensed optometrist in Canada since 2014. Dr. Mary's surgical background gave her great experience in counselling her patients for cataract and LASIK surgery.
Dr. Mary is working hard to take care of her patients at Millcreek Vision Care clinic. She is very thorough, and compassionate in fully addressing her patients’ problems. Dr. Mary is competent to attend to her patients’ eye health questions. Dr. Mary offers comprehensive eye exams, she believes that prevention is better than treatment. Dr. Mary is proud of serving the vision care needs of many families. Dr. Mary has a special interest in Pediatrics eye exams.
Since children can be treated perfectly if amblyopia is discovered before age five, she educates parents on the importance of early amblyopia discovery. Dr. Mary worked at Meadowvale and Erin Mills area for more than nine years. She has an excellent reputation in this wonderful growing community. She speaks English, Arabic and a little French.
